Mischon Kareken graduated from Anderson University with a bachelor’s degree in Studio Arts. Throughout her college experience she participated in several awareness and outreach programs. This time in her life developed a deep desire within her to see others find healing and better their circumstance. She began working at Selah House in 2007 as a Dietary Care Specialist and has held various positions within the facility since that time. She currently works as the Milieu Supervisor and directs the 24 hour care team of Recovery Care Specialists and Recovery Care Specialists Nurses.
Mischon states, “My story and stories of my dearest friends in life have taught me that personal restoration is continually possible. I am so grateful to play a role in the journey toward wholeness and freedom that so many others are on. At Selah House, we have an amazing group of adult women that make up Selah House’s 24 hour care team. They work daily to ensure that the women we serve receive quality client care and have a supportive, therapeutic environment to explore their brokenness.”
