Recovery Care Specialists Needed

Selah House, a Christ based inpatient eating disorder facility, is looking for Recovery Care Specialists.  This position would require a dynamic, responsible individual with a great heart and passion to help others.  Due to the nature of our business, this person would have to understand the need for continuing confidentiality and have the ability to be truly sensitive to the needs of our clients and their families.

Duties include but are not limited to: using empathy, sensitivity and being genuine during processing with clients, eating meals and processing struggles with clients, providing continual emotional support and encouragement to clients, light cleaning, attending de-escalation/grounding/other training and incorporating them into processing tools, and accurate documentation of interactions.  All applicants must be at least 5 years clear of any eating related disorder.  Applicants are expected to have visited selahhouse.net to get a feel for the company and to help with initial questions.  Qualified applicants should expect a series of interviews and background checks.  Applicants must be able to work weekends, some holidays, and various shifts.  Positions available are part time and could lead to full time.  Benefits available after 90 days.  Salary for the position will fall between $11-$22 per hour.  Interested candidates should email/fax the Director of Labor and Compliance a resume or CV.

Administrative Care Specialist

Selah House, a Christ based inpatient eating disorder facility, is looking for an amazing administrative care specialist.  This position would require a well organized, dynamic, responsible individual with a great heart.  Due to the nature of our business, this person would have to understand the need for maintaining the highest level of confidentiality. Responsibilities of this position are preceded by receiving/directing/maintaining incoming calls and associated logging system but also include normal office administrative tasks, maintaining organizational schedules/calendars, building/maintaining referring sources database and associated follow up and working on as needed projects.  Requirements for this position are at least a high school degree or equivalent, excellent verbal and written communication skills, office type skills and experience, and at least 2 years out of any eating related disorder.  Hours for this position are typically Monday through Friday.  This is a full time, full benefit position that includes health care, paid time off, and 401(k).  Salary for this position starts between $10-$12 per hour plus benefits.

Director of Nursing

Selah House, a Christ-centered inpatient eating disorder facility, is looking for a full-time Director of Nursing.  This position would require a dynamic, responsible individual with a compassionate heart and strong nursing background with at least 5 years’ clinical experience in the eating disorder field.  This candidate will work closely with our medical director to oversee all aspects of nursing and medication treatment items.  This position will directly supervisor the milieu supervisor position (direct client care staff manager) and oversees all nurses on medical and nursing issues.  The Director of nursing is instrumental in the development/maintenance of all medical components of Selah House.  This candidate should expect to provide training and education to clients, staff, and outside professionals. This is a full time salaried position with full benefit options.

Nursing-Recovery Care Specialist

Selah House, a Christ-based inpatient eating disorder facility, is looking for an amazing Nursing-Recovery Care Specialist. This position is open to LPN and RN nursing degrees only.  This position would require a dynamic, responsible individual with a great heart.  Due to the nature of our business, this person would have to understand the need for continuing confidentiality and have the ability to be truly sensitive to clients and their families. Responsibilities of this position are to assist our director of nursing in all nursing aspects of the facility.  This would include but not limited to: daily weights and vitals, possible blood draws, admission medical procedures, medication distribution and all associated charting and paperwork.  This position would also be responsible for recovery care specialist’s duties.  These duties include but are not limited to: day to day involvement with clients, eating meals with clients, processing of events, and some light cleaning. Applicant would need at least 2 years out of any eating related disorder. Selah House Counseling Internships

Thank you for your interest in doing an internship with us. We typically take masters level counseling/therapy interns each semester, but we are not going to be taking applications for interns for the next couple of semesters. We may again offer this in the future, however, at least for the Summer/Fall Semesters of 2012, we are not offering an internship opportunity.


 
Selah House is licensed by the State of Indiana as a Private Mental Health Institution to provide a continuum of care that includes acute inpatient treatment through outpatient services and is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) for inpatient care.
